J. Bernlef had many different hairstyles during his lifetime. He was well known as an excellent poet, novelist, lyricist and translator. However, the Dutch writer was mostly known for his unusual public appearances and his likable character. Before his demise at age 75 he was often featured in tabloids due to his superb looks.
